How to Fix Mouse pointer flicking and disappearing issue in Ubuntu 14.04

Sometimes you may have noticed that in Ubuntu 14.04 mouse pointer starts to flick a lot and continuously disappearing and reappear.

You can fix this issue by doing following

Go to System Settings
Select Displays
You will see unknown display. Select it and disable it.

Now the issue should be solved.

  3. Dual Nvidia cards. Using Xorg nouveau drivers. (Nvdia drivers produce black screen but was able to recover from that reinstalling nouveau and trashing nvidia* with apt-get). Flicker is only on 2 monitors attached to device 0. On the device 1 only 1 monitor and no flicker at all!. This is why i keep my Macs always ready. Ubuntu is just a matter of pure love, LOL! (you need to really love it and understand the community to tolerate such unprofessionalism)
