I shifted to Win 8 about a month back and I like it very much. If you
are a Windows phone developer, I recommend you to use win 8 as the
OS platform where you can install Visual Studio 2012 which has a very good
emulator for windows mobile applications.
Once you have successfully installed Windows 8 in your machine, you have to instal Visual Studio 2012 and Windows Phone SDK
7.1 or Windows Phone SDK 8.
